Experience
Jacob has been training horses since he was 15 years old. He grew up on his family's ranch in Nebraska, and has made a living as a cowboy his entire adult life on ranches in Montana and Wyoming. Training colts, ranch horses, polo horses, rope horses, mules, pack horses, and studs, he strives to achieve calm and quiet, yet confident and complete control of the horses he trains.
Thorough groundwork is targeted at teaching horses how to handle pressure moving on to first rides inside and then eventually outside/to whatever chosen discipline that horse needs to learn. What he loves the most about horse training is when “you can get to the point where you are starting to work with the horse and the horse is working with you…you become a team and are working with one another. It’s also especially rewarding when you get a horse that won’t even be in the same space as you or have interest in you and at the end of the training they want to work with you and for you as a team”.
